Making of Pazhassi posters

It's been almost a year since Pazhassi has released but the memories of those days or say those months are still fresh. I still get introduced as Pazhassi Jayaram. The posters for a movie of this scale definitely needed an International feel. I was given complete freedom by Director Hariharan sir and Pravin(Exec Producer). I was given a special preview of the movie(rough edit) to get a rough idea of the script.

I had seen Shani's work he had done earlier for movies like Big B and Saagar....and have always admired it. I kept on telling Hariharan sir and Pravin that we will need to shoot separately for the posters since the shooting stills could not be used and co incidentally i had chosen about 20 stills from almost 2000 stills and those 20 happened to be shot by Shani when he had visited Mammukka during the shoot, and finally everything fell in place and we were working together. We gelled pretty well and we were all set. Planning started three weeks in advance. It was almost like a small budget film. Thanks to Pravin everything we asked for was right in front of us and everyone right from the Superstars to the boy who was taking care of the Horse worked really hard. It was just mere team work that worked.

Shani and i are still basking in the glory of Pazhassiraja. Thanks to all the people behind the scenes who supported our vision....
